Our security team consists of trustworthy, responsible guards who are all licensed by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). In order to be hired, every one of them had to pass a very selective hiring process that included a series of interviews with our management team, a thorough background check, personal reference checks, and drug testing. In addition, we have our guards complete a rigorous training course designed to ensure that they are fully prepared to handle any security assignment.
With a dedicated team of experts who operate our dispatch center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we ensure that our management team is readily available during that time to assist clients and staff any time of day or night. The management team stays accessible via cell phones, radios, and pagers, even when they are conducting location visits in the field.
Our team instituted the Management Customer Service Program (MCSP) to maintain the high quality of our security services and customer care. With this program in place, we’re able to not only respond quickly to your needs but also anticipate them. Additionally, through this program, we develop customized security plans, solicit client feedback, address concerns, conduct security inspections, provide ongoing training, perform emergency response drills, and implement new strategies and best practices.
We believe that expertly trained guards are the key to excellent security. Every Guardian National Security guard completes the training required by the BSIS, which consists of 40 hours of training in powers to arrest, terrorism and WMD awareness, and related security subjects, as well as 8 hours of dedicated review and skills practice annually. We supplement this requirement with mandatory additional training on post orders, patrols, fire watch services, public relations, communications, emergencies, observe and report, logistical services, and general duties. Many of our guards also receive certification in CPR/first aid and/or permitting in batons and pepper spray. We also require refresher courses on all topics every two to three months to keep our guards sharp and their knowledge and skills current.
While all of our guards receive education on each of the industries we serve and their specific security needs, we prefer to provide comprehensive training to each guard once they have been assigned to a client. This training explains in great detail the security plan, post order duties, uniform requirements, and other client-specific expectations.
